Dr Lakmini Gunaratne

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Lakmini Gunaratne has extensive experience working in General Practice for around 15 years.

She completed her medical degree at James Cook University, North Queensland, and undertook GP training in Sydney, subsequently attaining Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. After gaining fellowship, she went on to earn a Diploma in Child Health. She continues to stay abreast of up-to-date clinical management and the newest changes in medicine.

During her years of practice, Dr Gunaratne has enjoyed creating and building strong relationships with her patients and helping them through their healthcare journey.

Her interests include Women’s Health (including Menopause, Reproductive health, Implanon insertion and removal), Paediatric care, Chronic Disease Prevention and Management. Outside of medicine, she loves spending time with her family, exercising and reading a book with a good cup of coffee!

Please note that Dr Gunaratne bulk-bills all Pension and Health Care Card Holders, as well as all children under the age of 16. Dr Gunaratne’s books are currently open to new patients.
